Transmuto, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people and organizations flourish through self-awareness, trust, and connection. Founded by Jeff King, Transmuto integrates psychological insight, spiritual wisdom, and practical tools for meaningful transformation.

We provide a safe space of belonging and acceptance—without the pressure to believe a certain way or fit a certain mold. Whether through coaching, consulting, or educational events, Transmuto helps individuals, couples, and organizations overcome barriers and grow into wholeness.

With more than 40 years of experience in pastoral ministry, counseling, and coaching, Jeff King has devoted his life to helping people live more authentic, wholehearted lives. As a Certified Enneagram Teacher and TrustCentric Guide, he brings warmth, wisdom, and practical insight to his work with individuals, couples, and organizations.

Early Life & Ministry

Jeff grew up in rural Kansas with his parents and three siblings. From a young age he was drawn to life’s big questions, which led him into pastoral ministry. For more than 30 years, he served congregations in a variety of settings, walking with people through both ordinary seasons and life’s most difficult moments.

Discovering the Enneagram

In 2015, Jeff discovered the Enneagram—a framework that not only integrated the psychological and spiritual work he had pursued for decades, but also became the foundation of his own ongoing transformation. It continues to shape his life while equipping him with tools to help others see their patterns more clearly and step into deeper growth and compassion.

Founding Transmuto

In 2018, Jeff shifted from local church ministry and founded Transmuto as a space for authentic transformation — welcoming individuals, couples, and organizations who long for clarity, belonging, and growth. Transmuto is also a place of sanctuary for spiritual refugees: those who no longer feel at home in traditional faith communities but still yearn for meaning and spiritual depth.

Life Today

Jeff and his wife, Kareen, have been married since 1979. Together they’ve raised five children and delight in their five grandchildren. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys riding his eBike, traveling, reading, and engaging in meaningful conversations. Much of the photography you see on this site comes from Kareen, reflecting their shared love of finding beauty in the everyday.
